MULTAN: A collection of more than a score paintings by a trio of artists was exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of Garrison Public Library, this weekend.

The exhibition, titled FAUVISM, truly depicted its theme with bright paintings lining the walls, giving out the aura of spontaneity and positivity.

Fareha Khan, a self-employed artist based in Multan, attempted to “bring back long forgotten culture of hand painted ideas.” To her, painting is a passion, which is evident from the use of bright colors and bold strokes in her paintings. She wishes to pursue career in painting and showcase her work in other cities of Pakistan, ultimately taking it to international level. Her paintings “Metamorphosis”, Fiery Horse” and “Caged Bird” garnered special attention from the visitors. She can be reached at farehaart

Mahrukh Kamran, a Multan College of Arts graduate, is enamored with sky and sunset.

The artist gives the message of optimism to “human beings (who) just mourn for one single inconvenience and don’t think like time is passing away and (that) everything will be fine (eventually)”. She implores the visitors through her paintings that “why don’t we try to change ourselves?”

Hamza Rashid, a 9th grader, stands tall beside a wall showcasing his sketches on one side and acrylic paintings on the other. He has been sketching and painting for about four years. His work exhibits far more finesse and maturity than his age. Inspired by his uncle, he aspires to be a CSP in future but intends to pursue art as a hobby. His art collection can also be viewed at theartshack
